Adults Jiu-Jitsu

Our adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes are open to all levels, from complete beginners to experienced practitioners. We understand that everyone starts Jiu-Jitsu for different reasons, whether it’s to improve fitness, build confidence, learn practical Jiu-Jitsu based self-defence, socialise, challenge yourself, or pursue competition. Our coaches are here to support and guide you toward your own personal goals, at your pace.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu offers a unique training experience that encourages both physical and mental growth. Through problem-solving, controlled training, and continuous learning, students often experience increased confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of connection with others, qualities that keep people coming back to the mats.

Jiu-Jitsu is a predominantly ground-based martial art that uses technique, leverage, balance, pressure, and timing rather than strength. By understanding movement and body mechanics, students learn how to control situations and apply submissions in a safe and controlled manner.

Unlike striking-based martial arts, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu focuses on close-contact grappling, positional control, and submission techniques such as holds, chokes, and joint locks, all taught with safety, respect, and mutual care as a priority.

These classes are open to students aged 13 years and over.
